Housing Support Worker

£20,689 (£25,516 FTE)

About the role

Connect Housing are looking for someone to join their Engage Leeds team on temporary maternity cover for 30 hours per week until the end of February 2022, delivering high quality, customer focused, responsive and accountable support to those accessing the service.

In the role you will deliver housing-related support to people to prevent homelessness, facilitate sustainment, integration, and promote self-resilience.

Assisting the Team Leader and Engage Leeds Partners to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and local community partners, you will ensure service provision is sensitive to the needs of others, promoting empowerment, self-resilience and respecting individual dignity and self-esteem.

About you

We are looking for applicants who have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and enjoy supporting others. With experience of working in a housing / support environment and understanding the issues faced by people with housing support needs, you will be an excellent listener with exceptional communication and problem solving skills who is be able to influence others, work under their own initiative and under pressure.

Able to understand the issues and challenges faced by people with housing support needs, you’ll have the capability to identify and provide practical and emotional support and have knowledge of best practice to Safeguarding adults, data protection and confidentiality.
