Universal Credit is part of the government’s welfare reform policy. It is a single monthly payment for people who are not working or are on a low income. Universal Credit replaces the following benefits which are now known as legacy benefits: Housing Benefit, Income-Based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, Child Tax Credit & Working Tax Credit.
We are able to make sure your move to Universal Credit goes smoothly even if you are not likely to be affected straight away as we are able to make sure you are at least prepared. To learn more – visit Universal Credit.
Did you know? In the last year our money matters service provided support to more than 250 of our tenants resulting in over £500,000 in savings & additional benefits.
How we do it? All our support is free and confidential. After you have contacted us, a member of our team will book an appointment to meet you at the office or in your own home. We will be able to talk to you at the first visit and work out what help you require. The service is flexible and can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
