New monthly drop-in service for Dewsbury

The DWP Community Work Coach team is running a new, monthly drop-in service in Dewsbury to provide advice and support on careers, benefits and more.

The service is based at Connect Housing’s office on Bond Street and is available to anyone who lives locally – whether they’re a Connect resident or not.

The Community Work Coach team offers a whole range of support, including:

    • Benefits advice.
    • Advice on housing queries.
    • Support to move forward to work, including work experience, work trials and training.
    • Help with CVs.
    • Targeted support for people unemployed for over nine months.
    • Tailored support for individuals returning to work after a health condition or illness.

If there are any queries the team isn’t able to help with directly, then they’ll be able to point people in the right direction so that they can get the support they need.

The first two sessions will be on:

  • Tuesday, 5 November 2024. 9:30am to 12:00pm
  • Tuesday, 3 December 2024. 9:30am to 12:00pm

There’s no need to book. On the day, simply come to our office at 21 Bond St, Dewsbury, WF13 1AX. Our reception team will guide you to the drop-in session.
