New-look website for 15th anniversary

We are marking our 15th anniversary year with a refreshing new look and the launch of an improved customer website.

We are marking our 15th anniversary year with a refreshing new look and the launch of an improved customer website.

The site will provide a new platform for all our news and information for residents, plus a way for people to get in touch.

It will also offer more opportunities for customer engagement, with new features such as online consultations and direct access to important policies and publications.

The website went live on Wednesday 3 February 2021 – Connect’s 15th anniversary.

A window into Connect

Richard Baggott, Connect’s Senior Customer Experience Manager, said the new website is part of a wider project to improve the way Connect communicates.

“Our new website is not only a window into Connect, but it is an important tool in increasing the opportunities for our residents and customers to engage with us,” he said.

“Over the coming weeks we will be uploading more customer-focused content and inviting people to share their ideas and feedback on the type of information and facilities they would like to see on there.”

The website also provided the perfect platform to introduce Connect’s new image, which shows how everything in life is connected. This will be introduced over time when items are due for renewal.

A modern and collaborative organisation

Chief Executive Helen Lennon said: “We have taken time to look again at the Connect brand to understand what it stands for and how it is perceived.

“Working with staff and residents over many months, it was clear we needed to redevelop our image to better reflect the modern and collaborative organisation we have grown to be over the last 15 years.”

Connect was created in 2006 when Leeds-based The Ridings housing association merged with West Yorkshire Housing Association, which was based in Kirklees and Calderdale.

The merger brought together two values-driven housing associations which shared a clear social purpose – something Connect has always valued and continues to build upon.
