About the role

Connect Housing are looking for someone who has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and enjoys supporting others. Excellent listening, communication and problem solving skills are essential for this role. No two days are ever the same – each customer interaction is different. The successful candidates will be delivering asset based person centred housing-related support to prevent homelessness, enabling and empowering people to work towards independence and promoting self-resilience.

The role is fixed term until January 2022 and is for 28 hours per week.

 

About you

We are looking for applicants who have a passion for delivering a high quality person centred and responsive support service to people with housing related support needs. The post holder will be expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, key stakeholders and local community partners. Additionally they will be expected to assist in the development and delivery of group activities for people accessing the service. You will be an excellent communicator with strong engagement skills who is be able to influence others, work under their own initiative and under pressure.

Able to understand the issues and challenges faced by people with housing support needs, you’ll have the capability to identify and provide support and have knowledge of best practice to safeguarding adults/children, data protection and confidentiality.

About the role

Connect Housing are looking for someone to join their Engage Leeds team on temporary basis until the end of May 2021, delivering high quality, customer focused, responsive and accountable support to those accessing the service.

In the role you will deliver housing-related support to people to prevent homelessness, facilitate sustainment, integration, and promote self-resilience.

Assisting the Team Leader and Engage Leeds Partners to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and local community partners, you will ensure service provision is sensitive to the needs of others, promoting empowerment, self-resilience and respecting individual dignity and self-esteem.

About you

We are looking for applicants who have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and enjoy supporting others. With experience of working in a housing / support environment and understanding the issues faced by people with housing support needs, you will be an excellent listener with exceptional communication and problem solving skills who is be able to influence others, work under their own initiative and under pressure.

Able to understand the issues and challenges faced by people with housing support needs, you’ll have the capability to identify and provide practical and emotional support and have knowledge of best practice to Safeguarding adults, data protection and confidentiality.
