Success with Money Matters

Do you want to take control of your finances? Our Money Matters team provides a flexible, free service designed to help you do just that.

They can help support you through whatever is causing you concern, either over the phone or face-to-face.

Georgia, one of our Money Matters officers, recently helped a tenant with their migration from Employment Support Allowance to Universal Credit.

The tenant had a disability along with long-term health issues, and was initially overwhelmed by the transition and concerned about potentially losing out on their income.

Georgia supported the tenant with home visits and by accompanying them at job centre appointments. She made sure that they received the correct Universal Credit award, helping them to manage their claim online.

As a result, the tenant experienced a smooth transition to Universal Credit with no income loss, and a newfound confidence in managing their budget and online Universal Credit claim going forward.
