Helen’s December message to all our residents
As a Connect tenant you will have received a little gift through your letterbox over the last few days as a small thank you from Connect for all of your patience and goodwill through what’s been a very tough year.
We know that some of you will have lost loved ones and friends, or your livelihoods.
Everyone at Connect is sorry for your loss, and here to help if we can.
In your pack there is a little card, which gives an idea of places you can get help, either from Connect or elsewhere.
And please don’t feel embarrassed to reach out to anyone to ask for help, because there are lots of people in the same situation at the moment.
No-one that you ask for help from will judge you in any way. So please reach out.
Hope is on the way
We’re sending this at Christmas, but we know that many festivals, have been disrupted by Covid this year. So we are also sending belated greetings, for Eid, Diwali, Hannukah, and anything else that you hold dear to you.
There is hope on the way.
There’s a vaccine being rolled out, and from the 21st of December the nights are drawing out so spring is on the way. In spring and summer we can get outdoors more and the virus is less likely to spread. But in the meantime, we have to continue to stay safe, take precautions, and be careful. And remember to reach out for help if you need it.
Our team at Connect have been working harder than ever. They’ve been working in different ways. They’ve been covering other jobs and helping more people than ever before. So they need a break. Our staff will come back refreshed in January, to continue to help you in whichever way we can.
In the meantime, have a happy, and healthy, and safe holiday, and a happier New Year in 2021 than 2020 has been.
