We aim to assist people in need of affordable housing.
Due to different arrangements in the three main Local Authorities with whom we work, this is carried out in slightly different ways.
Choice-Based Lettings (Leeds and Calderdale)
We participate in Choice-Based Lettings Schemes in Leeds and Calderdale operated by each of the councils. This means that we (and a number of other landlords) advertise some of our available homes in the "Leeds Homes" or other advertising papers. You can express an interest in being considered for any of those homes by following the details given in the paper.
To apply for housing in Leeds, you need to complete a Common Housing Register Application Form. Click on this link to access the Leeds Homes website where you can download an Application Form from their "How To Register" page.|
To apply for housing in Calderdale, you need to complete a Common Housing Register Application Form. How our Policy Works

We will let properties to try and achieve sustainable communities. This means that we will sometimes:
-
Use local lettings initiatives in specific areas
-
Offer properties to lower priority applicants
-
Advertise the availability of properties
-
Restrict access to rehousing by us for applicants who have demonstrated unacceptable levels of anti-social behaviour or have been engaged in criminal activity which breaches the tenancy agreements.
We will normally consider applicants for one property size based on the maximum number of bed spaces per property and the age and sex of household members wanting to be rehoused together. For more information about the size of property we will consider you for, please see the leaflet "How we Decide how many Bedrooms you Need" linked here|.
Letting Homes to People in Priority Need
We will try to let 50% of our general needs accommodation to people who have been nominated by the local authority. That usually means people who have Priority status under the Council’s allocation system.
