Connect Housing was shortlisted for two of the National Housing Federation’s ‘What We Are Proud Of’ awards for the Yorkshire & Humberside region. It was all to do with our Junk Beatz junk drumming club for young people, the wonderfully successful brainchild of Alan Metcalfe, Connect’s Community Youth Officer.
The project was shortlisted in both the Best Partnership Working and Outstanding Individual categories, and we are delighted to announce that Alan took home the Outstanding Individual award!
Everyone at Connect is mightily proud of what Alan and the kids have achieved, and the award is a great cap off to over a year of riotous junk-drumming fun.
