Planning Application for new homes in Marsden

Marsden Planning

Submitted planning application

Connect Housing has submitted a planning application for a development of 13 apartments for older people in the village of Marsden, in the Colne Valley west of Huddersfield.  The two-bedroom apartments, if approved, will be built to the latest energy efficient standards with fuel consumption at least 44% lower than similar properties built to standard Building Regulations requirements.

The development will bring much needed housing for older people to the Colne Valley, where research completed last year showed an increasing problem for the elderly living in accommodation that no longer suited their needs.

As part of preparing its development proposals, Connect held a community consultation event in Marsden in July 2008, and has listened to local people in finalising its plans.  Follow this link to find out more about the consultation event.|
