Artist's rendition of new development at Clough Lea
Work has started on Connect Housing's latest new development – 13 apartments for older people in the village of Marsden near Huddersfield.
The £1.8million scheme is part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency, and will provide much needed affordable homes for rent in an area of high housing demand. The development is located close to the village centre and amenities, and is being built to the latest energy efficient standards incorporating high levels of insulation and efficient heating though ground source heat pumps. All the apartments incorporate accessible features, and two of them have been designed specifically with wheelchair users in mind.
