Values

Connect Housing conducts its business at all times within a framework of strong values, promoting equality of opportunity and pursuing services which deliver best value for customers. We believe that a diverse and multi-skilled workforce is the most effective - and also the most interesting in which to work. We have people working for us from a wide range of backgrounds and it is this diversity that keeps our perspective fresh.

Choice

The development and implementation of effective equal opportunities are a high priority in Connect Housing. Leeds, Calderdale and Kirklees are multi-racial communities and we are committed to ensuring that our policy is delivered in a positive way to ensure equality of opportunity and treatment.

Supportive

We welcome applications from all sections of the community, particularly those with experience of working and living within multi-racial communities. We are also concerned to ensure disabled people are treated fairly when applying for jobs with us and will try, wherever possible, to modify our recruitment and selection processes where necessary. We will interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for any position and consider them on their abilities.

We have also signed the Charter for Employers who are Positive About Mental Health - the Mindful Employer. You can read more about what this initiative aims to achieve at www.mindfulemployer.net|.
