How Do I

You are here:

End My Tenancy

End My Tenancy - key ring sitting on top of a Tenancy Agreement

If you want to find out about how to request a transfer please click here.|

If you want to find out about how to  arrange a mutual exchange please click here.|

To end your Tenancy you must give us four weeks’ notice in writing. The four weeks notice period begins on the first Monday AFTER notice is given – so, if we receive written notice to end a tenancy on a Wednesday, the tenancy will end four weeks from the following Monday.

You must sign and date the notice and give us a forwarding address. If you give us less than four weeks’ notice, you will have to pay four weeks’ rent.

Notices must be sent or hand-delivered to:

Connect Housing Association, 205 Roundhay Road, LS8 4HS
or
The Media Centre, 6 Friendly Street, Huddersfield HD1 1RD

You can extend your period of notice if you need to but you must agree that with us as soon as you know that you need to (e.g. if you are buying a house and the completion date is delayed).
