Race Online 2012

Race Online 2012 is a government initiative aiming to help the nine million people who have never used the internet to get online by the end of 2012. If you or someone you know is ready to take the first step to making the most of the internet, the ‘Go On’ website has a number of online learning tools which can help|.

Help us fight the bedroom tax

The Government wants to cut the amount of benefit that people can get if they are deemed to have a spare bedroom in their Council or Housing Association home.

In February, MPs have a chance to vote to stop the Government's plans to slash the housing benefit of social tenants deemed to be 'under-occupying' their homes.

This proposal is effectively a bedroom tax and will have disastrous implications for a huge number of people already struggling to make ends meet. People over pension age are not affected but it will hit disabled people, working families on low incomes and families with young children.

Please email your MP and ask him/her to vote against the bedroom tax!|
