Why a Federation?
To have an organisation just for the residents, independent of The Connect Board of Management and Connect staff.
We need more and better information – as a Federation it is easier to get better information and invite high-level staff to talk to us.
A Federation gives us more power – there is strength in numbers.
Our Federation can help raise funding for our members for social events and support for Connect tenants across the city. For example we can help to get cheap theatre tickets for our members through our Theatre Group. Contact barbara.kempf@connecthousing.org.uk| for more information about the theatre group.
Our Federation helps to bring people together and gives us a broader view of what is happening across Connect.
Our Federation will give us more of a say. We decide how and where the annual £65,000 CRF Estate Priority Fund is spent, are involved in appointing contractors and are consulted on policy changes.
We want to ensure that Connect does not forget that it is not JUST a business. Our Federation gives us the opportunity to build trust between:

Our Federation is about working in partnership with our landlord, not confrontation.
