We are a charitable housing and support provider, who are passionate about improving people's quality of life through good housing, in thriving, inclusive neighbourhoods, with support that empowers them.
We are looking for five apprentices: Two working as Supported Housing Apprentices and three working as Neighbourhood Apprentices.
The apprenticeships will be on a two year programme which will provide training and support to gain a qualification in housing (level 3) and experience in the housing sector by supporting our teams to provide an efficient and responsive customer-focused service in line with our values.
Our salary exceeds the minimum wage for apprentices and starts at £8,292 to £15,065 rising to £10,370 to £16,835 in the second year of the apprenticeship.
Our two Supported Housing Apprentices will work with the Engage Team to support delivery of a city wide housing support service tasked to prevent homelessness, facilitate sustainment, integration, and promote self-resilience. They will assist support staff to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and local partners involved in the delivery of a high quality support service to people with housing-related support needs. A driving licence and car (insured for business use) isn’t essential for this role but is desirable.
Our three Neighbourhood Apprentices will be working across three teams for a period of approximately eight months in each: Income Services, Leasehold and Lettings and Neighbourly Places. They will assist with operational areas of neighbourhood management, lettings, welfare and employment support and income recovery. The post holder will be building positive relationships with tenants, between tenants and with local partners. A driving licence and car (insured for business use) is essential for this role and a car allowance will be payable.

Supported Housing Apprentice applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
- experience of working positively as part of a team
- ability to work in a non-judgmental way
- experience of volunteering or working in a care / housing / support environment
- a basic level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- understanding of the issues and the challenges faced by people at risk of homelessness
Neighbourhood Apprentice applicants will need to demonstrate the following:
- full driving licence and a vehicle for work use
- experience of providing administrative support to a busy team
- experience of handling sensitive and confidential information
- understanding of excellent customer service
- experience of dealing with challenging situations
We recruit for personal qualities and attitudes but it will be helpful if you have achieved a GCSE level 4 (grade C) or above and have good IT skills.
