Describe the job areas you currently work in:
Since March 2017 I have worked at NHSE in financial planning and delivery. The key areas covered by our team are financial planning, financial reporting, activity and finance reporting and performance management of CCG’s. My role is focussed on activity and finance, joint activity reporting with NHSI and DH, plus mental health reporting.
Describe the experience/qualifications you have:
I am a FCCA, and hold an MBA from Leeds University. I have over 18 years of experience in the social housing sector, within executive management, heading up finance departments and Board.
My experience covers, financial reporting, management, business and strategic planning and risk management, staff management and corporate services. I also have treasury management experience in social housing both as a lender and a borrower. I have 10 years of financial and business planning experience within the interim market in the NHS, social housing, charity and commercial sectors.
Describe the strengths you feel you bring to the Board:
I have good financial management and corporate services skills plus an understanding of the commercial and treasury sector. I also have strategic skills from being a board member at various housing associations, past chair of NHF FD group and was involved in NHF publication for small HA’s. I’m currently also a trustee at Script Yorkshire & Leeds Weekenders Care Association.
